Halloween is a lot of work!

It's hard to practice for Halloween all month long! Poor guy needs a break every once in a while.

Halloween Decorations

After making this spider Luke said, "This is the bestest spider I ever made!" I made the eyes for him, but he glued everything on.

One of the spiders Luke made at my work. He insisted that the spider wear a hat and 'mommy shoes'.

Here's our doorway!

Luke HAD to be in the picture. He slept in that pumpkin suit the night before and had dreams about pumpkins all night.

We have a milk delivery service so we need to keep a cooler on the front porch. We decided to make good use of the cooler this year! It makes us laugh every time we see it. Let's hope the milkman agrees.

Pumpkin Patch

Ashlynn didn't want to sit next to the scary scarecrow. And Luke, of course, is loving every moment.

The Hayride

Ashlynn deciding that the pumpkin patch is too scary.
Luke adding some cheese and cuteness to this pumpkin patch.

Luke decided to dress up for the occasion. He said he wanted the farmer to see a REAL pumpkin.

Ashlynn assessing the situation.

More about Ashlynn

Here is another picture of our Ashlynn 'Berry'...notice the dress? This is my favorite dress on her and this is the only picture I have of her wearing it. I wish her eyes weren't looking up at something. Oh-well! I wanted to write more about Ashlynn since I didn't really get a chance on the last entry. From the first moment I held her, I could feel that she was so feminine, very sensitive, loving and gentle but yet strong too. She loves babies and animals, both of which she is extremely gentle and loving towards. She doesn't talk much, but understands everything. Ashlynn gets very nervous with any new experience, event or sound. One time someone at church 'sniffed' or I should say 'snorted' really loud and it scared Ashlynn to death! So, we have one child who is afraid of nothing and the other is afraid of everything.

Ashlynn Berry

This is our "Ashlynn-Berry". We are not sure how her nickname evolved either. I don't even know how many nicknames we have called our children. I am surprised they even know their real names. I guess I just want to call them every lovely thing under the sun. I will write more about our wonderful Ashlynn Berry tomorrow. I have spent hours on here today trying to figure out how the heck to make this blog. I have a few nicknames for the computer right now too-but I won't list them :)

Buzz-Lightyear

We HAD to buy Luke a Buzz Lightyear costume for Halloween because this is what he was using as a substitute- a clear bucket!

Luke Pie

This is our "Luke-Pie". If you ask him what his full name is, this is what he will say, "Luke-Pie Benjamin Mommy Purcell". Let's hope he never gets lost and has to recite that to a police officer. He really thinks this is his name. And since his Daddy's name is mentioned (Benjamin), he thinks he needs to include me too. How cute!
Luke is obsessed with the movie Toy Story 1 & 2!!! As you can tell from the photo, he trys to reinact every single scene from both movies. He has tried to break off Buzz's arm so that he can become Mrs. Naisbitt-just like the movie! He has also tried to climb to the top of the minivan so that a bug will get stuck to Buzz's helmet. Luke also knows an incredible amount of one-liners from these movies. I only pick up on half of them because I can't remember anything from a movie I just saw 5 minutes ago. Ben usually points out the things Luke says from the movies. The ironic thing is that Luke hated watching TV and movies until a few months before he turned 3. He only wanted to read books.
