The long awaited day had finally come. HALLOWEEN! Our little Batman and Princess were able to attend a carnival at my work and then they went to a 'trunk or treat' that evening. We also did some door to door trick or treating. They had so much fun! We have candy coming out our ears! I have to hide it before it destroys my diet! We hope you guys all had a great Halloween too!
Once again, this is not the order I wanted the photos. Oh-well. Check out Luke's 'scary eyes' face. He is very proud of it. Ashlynn is sporting some major 80's look with her hair and clothes. I love it.
This was the first year Ben and I didn't really care about Halloween. I can't believe I just said that! In the past we have both LOVED Halloween and we usually dress up and each carve a pumpkin. This year we only did 2 pumpkins. We can't seem to pull ourselves out of this slump. Our thoughts for the upcoming Holidays are the same way. What is wrong with us?
Thank goodness for children. They have forced us to still have some fun this year. Ashlynn took one look inside the pumpkin and saw the 'guts' inside and said, "EW, GROSS!!!". She ran to the front room and laid down on the couch and 'read' a Toys R Us magazine. She is such a little diva! I should have taken a photo of her laying there. She wanted nothing to do with the filthy pumpkin. Ashlynn cracks me up and I love her to bits.
Luke asked Ben to pose like the carved pumpkin. Ben, of course, couldn't refuse. Don't they all look alike? :)
This is not the order I put the photos on Blogger, but I think it is having problems lately. ANYWAY, here we are at the pumpkin patch. The kids love riding the tractor to get to the pumpkins.

Ashlynn hated walking in the pumpkin patch. She started crying and saying, "EW, Gross" every few seconds. She is such a girly girl.
I love capturing moments like this...when they actually enjoy being with each other and no one is getting hurt.
Yep, it is still Halloween at our house.
Luke asked for one last chance to dress up for Halloween before we pulled out the Christmas decorations. He wanted to be a lion and acted out his part quite well.
All the "Fall" decorations are put away except for these pumpkins. Luke cannot part with them. They even get baths every now and then...the pumpkins that is...not our kids:)

This was Luke's idea to pile the leaves at the bottom of the slide. They had so much fun! And, for any of you wondering why our child still has a pumpkin costume on...our Luke Pie loves Halloween and always has. He is in denial about his favorite holiday being over. Every night when it gets dark he says, "OOOOOOoooo it's Halloween time!".

Yeah!!! I just figured out why Halloween is soooo fun!
Luke's favorite holiday has finally come! A few months ago we asked Luke what his favorite holiday was and of course he said, "Halloween!" So we gave him some more options and asked him the question again and this is what he said,"Halloween...but I do like Christmas too...if it was scarier!"
After making this spider Luke said, "This is the bestest spider I ever made!" I made the eyes for him, but he glued everything on.

Luke HAD to be in the picture. He slept in that pumpkin suit the night before and had dreams about pumpkins all night.
We have a milk delivery service so we need to keep a cooler on the front porch. We decided to make good use of the cooler this year! It makes us laugh every time we see it. Let's hope the milkman agrees.
